In Spring, when there is still fog on the chilly ground very early in the morning there are pale pink and lavender tones amongst the blooming forest floor. Those brisk mornings are full of such hope and wonder and this Ikebana was made with that in mind. Glazed in a satin, pale lavender this Ikebana was designed to show off a variety of woodland flowers (not pictured) like phlox, blue violet, wild geranium and Virginia blue bells. The color is somewhere between a pale pink and dusty, rosey lavender.

This is a large statement piece that has a removeable matching flower frog. It can sit in a room as a statement bowl or transform into a sculptural vase just by adding the frog and some water.
