This set was inspired by cold winter walks on the Lake Michigan shore where the ice piles in sheets and vibrant blue water peeks through the seams. Made with porcelain clay and a vivid blue underglaze detail and dipped in a clear gloss glaze. Small brushstrokes of pale blue celadon glaze are made to add depth to the design and mimic the blue water peeking through the cracks in the ice.

This is set can be packed away into the serving plate and upacked for a sweet presentation during tea time. You can also flip over the plate and set the hot teapot in the center to keep the heat from your counters and for a special warming plate look.
